205/50VR15 P7 PIRELLI CINTURATO ™ - Revolutionizing Supercar Tires
The advent of the Supercar in the 1970s required the development of a new generation of tires that were extra wide and had an even lower profile. Pirelli made significant progress in this area and in 1974, they introduced the P7 tire. The internal design of the P7 allowed for a significant decrease in tire profile while significantly increasing the width. The Lamborghini Countach began fitting 205/50VR15 P7 PIRELLI CINTURATO ™ tires on the front, paired with 345/35VR15 P7 PIRELLI CINTURATO ™ rear tires, marking the start of a new era of ultra-low profile tires.

PIRELLI HAVE THE REARS TO MATCH YOUR 205/50 R 15 FRONTS!
When the 205/50 R 15 P7 86Y PIRELLI CINTURATO ™ was first introduced, it had a V-rated speed capability of 149 mph or higher. However, it was not rated for its maximum speed. Today, a Y speed rating (capable of 186 mph or 300 km/h) is available. The sidewall retains its original lettering for a classic look, but if you look closely, you'll also see the small inscription of 205/50 R 15 86Y, ensuring compliance with current motoring laws.
The Pirelli range of P7 Supercar tires has recently increased, and they now make the 345/35 VR 15 PIRELLI P7 that was paired with the 205/50 R 15 86Y PIRELLI P7 on the earlier Lamborghini Countach.
