PIRELLI CINTURATO™ P7 - The 1970s Supercar Tire
The PIRELLI CINTURATO ™ P7 made its debut in 1974, representing a significant breakthrough as Pirelli's innovative low-profile tire. tHE P7 revolutionized the industry by offering exceptional stability and grip, setting new standards for performance.
Pirelli's CINTURATO P7 series marked their entry into the realm of ultra-low-profile tires, following their previous offerings like the 70% CN36 and CN12. The Porsche 930 and De Tomaso Pantera benefited from this advancement, with profiles as low as 50%. Pirelli continued to push boundaries, achieving an impressive 35% profile on the rear of the Lamborghini Countach in 1978.

Benefits of PIRELLI P7 Classic Tires
Any modern tire would be unsuitable for the chassis of a 1970s performance car, producing handling characteristics that were not intended for the vehicle, and ultimately blocking the cars potential. Preserving the authenticity of classic cars is a priority for Pirelli, which led them to develop the PIRELLI CINTURATO ™ P7 with a tire carcass that faithfully replicates the handling and steering feedback of period tires.
